Time stamps

An electronic timestamp is data in electronic form that links other data in electronic form to a specific time and thus creates evidence that the latter existed at that time.

Electronic time stamps facilitate the verification of the validity of an electronic signature after the expiry of a qualified electronic signature certificate.

Only qualified trust service providers may provide qualified electronic timestamp creation services. Their list is published on the website www.elektroninisparasas.lt.
